Art Houses of Marin is a fundraising project that celebrates the arts and culture of Marin and it’s capacity and willingness to support an important cause. It’s a fun-filled public art project modeled after successful experiences in many cities across the country and world - including the Hearts in San Francisco.
Eminent local artists will be chosen to design and decorate the scale model houses, creating exquisite works of art. The art houses will then be displayed in prominent locations throughout Marin County for the enjoyment of locals and visitors alike. Each artfully created house will be auctioned online and at a gala event later in the year with the proceeds benefiting the important work of Ritter Center.
Benefit to the Community
The communities of Marin will benefit from the enthusiasm generated by the effort to find all of the art houses throughout the area. Visitors and tourists are attracted to the area to view and enjoy the unique display of public art.
Kids and families are especially excited to see the different designs and approaches taken by the artists. The project supports Marin County’s deep appreciation of the arts and enhances community pride and preservation. |
